We are delighted to announce that Turpin Barker Armstrong has acquired the business of Gibson Hewitt, a firm of Chartered Accountants and Insolvency Practitioners, based in West Byfleet, Surrey.Gibson Hewitt’s Director Lynn Gibson who ran the practice for over 30 years is retiring and we saw this as a fantastic opportunity to acquire the business, its premises and staff to expand our current insolvency services. The newly merged practice will combine the knowledge and experience within each team and enhance the service offering to clients and introducers at both practices.
The acquisition brings together two firms that are both established, well respected and importantly it was recognised that both practices had the same ethos and approach to restructuring, turnaround and insolvency.
The acquisition strengthens Turpin Barker Armstrong’s position within Surrey and the surrounding regions and we will now operate from both offices in Sutton and West Byfleet.
In recent years both practices have been recognised for their contributions to turnaround and insolvency at the industry awards. Gibson Hewitt was awarded Turnaround Firm of the Year in 2018 whilst Turpin Barker Armstrong was highly commended as a Finalist for Insolvency Team of the Year in 2019.
By joining forces, we will be able to deliver an improved range of services and we look forward to working with our valued clients and introducers in 2020 and beyond.
