With the world cup over and the weather starting to get worse, there is less reason to leave the house and spend. However, now more than ever, short and long term borrowing for young people has become the method of making their cash last until the end of the month. Whether the borrowing consists of Overdrafts, pay day lenders or the ‘bank of mum and dad’ research shows that there is an increase in younger people struggling financially.

With unemployment set to be at its lowest for youths in 16 years, is it time to increase wages significantly to keep in line with the costs of living?
